2022 is just around the corner and if you are thinking of buying your first home or remodel the one your already have, you might want to think about choosing a style first and then think about the details. We know, there is a lot of information out there and many people say what is cool and what is out dated, that is where trends come in, to guide you in choosing a path. People often think about trends as something they must copy no matter what, but if there are 5 directions you don’t have to go in all those directions, it can create confusion and it becomes an aesthetic tragedy. Out of those 5 directions you need to choose one that suits you best and in the end, it is all about creating a cozy home and also fabulous!
Here are a few of our favorite decor trends for 2022, hopefully, you will feel inspired by them and add personality to your home.
1.WOOD AND ORGANIC ACCENTS
If you are passionate about black and white interiors, you should know that any type of accents can pop up the room and attract more attention. Use wooden beams, a stone wall, anything related to nature and surely it will create a grounded atmosphere. With each decade I think, people are more attracted to nature, as we pretty much live in big cities surrounded by glass sky scrappers, the sight of plants and woods feels somehow miraculous. So why not bring this into your home and connect with nature more?
2. BLACK AND WHITE APPLIANCES
Stainless steel seems to be fading. Let’s not jump to conclussions and say that next year it will be out dated. If you want to invest in stainless steel, go for it. Just to put the information out there, here are also other options available. With the current pandemic, we spend more time at home and white, black, and integrated appliances are easier to keep clean and feel fresher. That is definitely something we all need to consider. Time is precious.
3. RATTAN
Rattans, cane, and other gorgeous natural fibers will be in the list of decor trends for 2022. It’s part of the sustainability movement that started almost a decade ago. Rattan is so versatile – it can be used for furniture, mirrors, chairs, bedheads and lampshades to name but a few. It’s important to not overdo this look as it can quickly feel outdated. Rattan has been around for hundreds of years, so it’s safe to say it’s timeless but should be balanced with other tones, textures and materials.

4. THE POWER OF RETRO HOME DECOR
Good news for all nostalgic souls out there! Retro is not new, but 2022 could be the year where the 1960s, 70s and 80s really come to life. So much so that it could feel as though we’ve popped back in a time machine. When it comes to style and shape, anything round and circular will be all the rage. Think smooth, egg-shaped seating, globular footrests, according to psychology, rounded edges are good for the soul! This is because they create a sense of flow that doesn’t overstimulate. Smooth edges calm and soothe us, putting our minds at ease and helping us relax.

5. WALLPAPER HYSTERIA HOME DECOR TREND
One of the most prominent interior design trends in 2022 is the textile wall trend, an amalgamation of texture, illusion and wallpaper. This is where our favorite fabrics throughout time come to be revived. It most definitely capable of creating a direct focal point in the room and makes the space more lively. Surely, this will not be appreciated by fans of Minimalism, but for all those in love with color and pattern, it is definitely something to consider.
6. JAPANDI STYLE
Japanese-Scandinavian home decor — also known as “Japandi” — is still gaining fans so surely it will be on trend this year thanks to its serene, simple and stylish vibes. Combining elements of Japanese minimalism (think clean lines, low clutter and calming colour palettes) and Scandi influences (like cozy textiles, neutral tones and lots of plants), Japandi design is all about balance and clean comfort.
