Converted chapel in England with raw brick walls

This interesting converted Baptist chapel is situated in Southborough. It was actually constructed in 1882 and extending to aprox 247 m2. The building contains its ecclesiastical architectural integrity that blend beautifully contemporary details which together create a space perfectly suited to modern living.

The current home owner extensively revamped and renovated the building while keeping the original charm of the abode. The wooden sash windows were overhauled and replaced, along with all the plumbing and electrical as well as underfloor heating.

Through reconfiguring the initial space a massive light & airy open-plan was created with a soaring double-height living area. The wall are sandblasted to raw brick to add worm and texture to the expansive room. The raw brick looks great with the contemporary hardwood flooring.

The white kitchen cabinets are by Neptune, the countertops are pale quartz and the appliances are from Miele. Loving the large island as well.

The overall style of the home is eclectic with old time charm. You’ll see a lot of memorabilia mixed with modern details. A beautifully made reconversion that is currently on sale on Inigo.
