INTERIOR DESIGN TRENDS 2024

Trends in interior design are not just about beauty; they are also about adapting to the changing needs and aspirations of people. Let’s explore the latest interior design trends for 2024, where colors, materials, textures, and functional spaces blend to create beautiful spaces.

Home decor trending colors in 2024

In 2024, we see a drastic turn towards neutrals and earthy tones., from rich browns to lushy greens and beiges, it’s safe to say that neutrals are the new black. We’re turning away from futuristic elements and bold design choices and embracing a cozier and homier approach, perhaps as a way of going back to our roots that provide comfort in a stressful and as agitated as ever outside world.

This ever-growing neutral trend has been predicted by designers around the world, but also noted in the New York Design Center Survery conducted this year, over 90 percent of respondents picked brown as the go to color for 2024. Pairing well with brown, all earthy tones such as muted greens and oranges will create and overall sense of comfort in your home, sage green was chosen by interior designers as the go to choice over its jewel toned brethren, emerald green (which was a favorite for 3 years in a row), followed by dusty oranges and mustards over brighter colors as the top choices for 2024.

Eco-friendly materials, such as recycled wood and organic materials, take center stage in interior design projects, reflecting a growing concern for the environment.

For example, furniture made from recycled wood not only adds a rustic and authentic look to the space but also contributes to reducing the carbon footprint. We will definitely be seeing the rise of seaweed lamps and other green materials as a response to this concern and the growing effort to reduce the use of plastic in our homes.

Right now, interior design adapts to the new needs of users. From smart windows that adjust natural light to security systems integrated into the design, technological innovations transform homes into connected and efficient spaces. For example, integrating smart lighting systems can allow adjusting light intensity based on the time of day and user preferences. But, contrary to what you might believe, in a technological world, people are starting to choose simpler, “old school” appliances, with less touchscreens and harsh blue lights and more classical hardware and mechanical controls.
